Course participants learn about quality standards in the area of adhesive bonding technology and are able to transfer this knowledge and certification requirements to their company and so gain competitive advantages. Fraunhofer IFAM was involved in the drawing up of DIN 6701 for rail vehicle manufacture. DIN 2304 for effective adhesive bonding in all industrial sectors except the rail vehicle manufacturing industry came into force at the end of 2015. Further standards are in preparation.

Fraunhofer IFAM also offers the European Adhesive Bonder and European Adhesive Specialist courses as in-house courses on your company premises. These courses can be given in your choice of language: German, English, or translated into the relevant local language at any desired location in the world. All the necessary equipment, adhesives, auxiliary materials, tools, and testing machines will be supplied by the Training Center for Adhesive Bonding Technology.

The internationally recognized DVS®/EWF training system was developed by Fraunhofer IFAM in collaboration with industry. The content of the Fraunhofer IFAM courses always includes the latest R&D findings and meets the needs of industry. The quality of the courses is assured by the fact that the Training Center for Adhesive Bonding Technology is part of Fraunhofer IFAM, the world's largest independent research organization in adhesive bonding technology.

The training courses are not product-specific and are not industry-specific. Course participants come from a diverse range of industries including rail vehicle manufacture, transport, automotive, machine construction, adhesive manufacture, and medical technology.
